How to add downloaded toolbars to your Rhino workspace
Firstly, please note that the toolbars you will find here will NOT work on Rhino versions older than V5.
Although the toolbar file format is same (*.rui) since Rhino 5, commands run by the buttons, which are introduced in later versions of Rhino may not work in earlier versions. Try to keep your Rhino up to date to make use of all the commands and toolbars.
Extract the files from downloaded archive to a desired PERMANENT location.
Rhino will look for the same location for the toolbar file everytime it starts. It's a good idea to create a toolbars folder to keep all your toolbar files in.
Drag the file with ".rui" extension into an open Rhino window. The toolbar should now be visible.
Arrange your toolbar layout according to your needs. If you're using Rhino 8, you can save your window layout using the menu.
Navigate to "Window > Window Layouts > Save Window Layout" to save your window layout.
If there are any, close other Rhino instances that are open first. Close the window you made changes the last.
Rhino saves your options and toolbars on close. Make sure you close the window you customized at last.
"I can't see the new toolbar on my workspace"
For Rhino 5-7:
Type "Toolbar" to Rhino's command prompt.
If you can see the toolbar's name in "files" section, click on it and check the boxes in "toolbars" section to make them visible.
If you cannot see the toolbar's file in the list, then try downloading the file again and repeat the first step above.
For Rhino 8:
Type "Toolbar" to Rhino's command prompt.
If you can see the toolbar's name in "libraries" section, click on it and check the boxes in "toolbars" section to make them visible.
If you cannot see the toolbar's file in the list, then try downloading the file again and repeat the first step above.
